ALL THE DETAILS

"The Community Storehouse" is a food pantry and emergency aid agency in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.  Each year as the summer winds down and schools go back into session, we hold the Back to School Run in the Dark 5K / 1 Mile Race and Silent Auction.  The 2002 date is AUGUST 24.  All proceeds from this annual event are used to provide economically disadvantaged children with school supplies, socks, dental checkups, school physicals, essential prescriptions, eye-exams and eyeglasses, asthma inhalers, food, and other necessities.

This is a fun Saturday evening event for anyone and everyone, from serious runners to teenage athletes to couples and families who walk or jog with their young kids. Lots of trees in Keller's Bear Creek Park, several water stations, plenty of refreshments, good music, high-quality T-shirts, trophies galore, and a post-run party hosted by Starbucks Coffee House of Keller make this an especially appealing Run. Run On! of Dallas provides the timing and results.

The course will be CERTIFIED for the August 24, 2002 race and beyond.
